Week 13-LinkedIn
In this week's blog, I look to highlight the importance of your own personal LinkedIn profile. In today's increasingly competitive society, it is extremely important to separate yourself from your peers. Having a detailed and informational LinkedIn page can help you achieve that goal, as it is more likely you will get hired over someone with a less detailed LinkedIn page. There are many ways potential job candidates can achieve this goal, and it starts with having a resume attached to their profiles. This will allow recruiters to get a better understanding of your experience and skills as they look for people in the job field.
It is also important to market yourself in the best way possible. When creating your profile, you should look to have a picture of yourself in which you are dressed professionally, ads this creates a great impression on recruiters. In the coming weeks, it is my goal as a potential job candidate to continue to update my profile and add more details. I will be graduating in May, and I will be able to say that I completed a double major degree while also being a student-athlete, which will show recruiters I have excellent time management skills.
