Week 14- Differences in Social Media
When it comes to Social Media Marketing, it is important for marketers to understand who is their consumer base and who they're trying to reach. It is also important for them to understand the different uses of each social media platform, as these different platforms all contain a certain niche of consumers. This can be used to marketers' advantage as they know who to look for.
For example, if you are a social media marketer for ESPN, you would begin work on the platforms that are most known for their sports content and most views and clicks. This would include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even YouTube. This would allow for your company to increase their viewership and followers, which in turn would result in increased revenue.
